Released in a great gimmick cut-out cover, this album is eagerly hunted by collectors. The music is as impressive as the sleeve. Side one has two long tracks of intelligent heavy progressive rock but with the scope to transgress into more reflective moods. This is similar to early seventies New Trolls (both groups came from Genova) with the same falsetto backing vocals. Side two has more variety with excursions into the folk, jazz and classical territories. Still this is an integrated work where "Sinfonia Per Un Re" restates the opening theme of the album in the title track. A very good album just short of being a classic. A second album was never completed, but J.E.T. recorded 5 singles from 1971 to 1973.
